07 Julio, 2015 If you have taught yourself or learned on the job, you have inevitably come up against obstacles, reached a point where you did not know where to proceed or done things the hard way from the start. The Forcontu Drupal 7 course gives you the confidence to know what to do next and how to do it; to know the functionality that is available, which modules to use and how to configure the solutions. The course gives you hands-on experience with lots and lots of modules. The advantage of this is a broad familiarity with what you can do with Drupal and what modules to use to do it. Benefit is that when a customer asks if you can do something or you get an idea, you are so familiar with so many modules that you can quickly know what to use, how difficult it will be and importantly, how much time it will take. The course gives you the skill to not just haphazardly install and use a module, but to do it with skill. The assignments involve require configuring the modules and creating an example to detailed specifications. This ensures that not only do you know what module to use and how to install and configure it, but that you know it well enough to follow explicit requirements. The course provides a go-to expert to assist you. One of the key frustrations of learning on your own – which is how most of us do this, is encountering roadblocks in using modules, spending a lot of time trying to figure out what is not working, deciphering error messages. It is usually some small and simple thing – if only you knew what. It is so great to have a knowledgeable instructor at your disposal to give you the answers and save a lot of head banging. Conclusion I have learned so much more, so much faster through this course than I have learned on my own, on projects, at seminars all together in the years I have been doing this. It is a commitment of a lot of time and effort, but all in all, the easy way and a way to get so much more value, competence and confidence.

It is very well explained and structured, easy to understand, and includes very educational and illustrative examples. If I had to find a fault, I would say that it could be a little more up to date, as some topics use versions of libraries and frameworks that are now deprecated or no longer in use.
