![]() A Drupalling I will go with Forcontu
tnorman | Drupal 7 | Expert in Drupal 7
06 July, 2015 My experience with Drupal started a few years ago when version 5 came out. At the time I was a newspaper/magazine photographer and was looking to branch out into freelance photograpy and knew I wanted a Content Managagement System to help keep my website up to date with new content. I explored several of CMS's including Joomla and WordPress, but eventually settled on Drupal because of the community. WordPress was popular for photographers, but I thought I would want to have more flexibility. My first Drupal website was Drupal version 5.0. And then I started fresh with Drupal 6 when it came out a couple years later. The last build of the freelance photographer site at http://www.timnormanphoto.com was for version 6. I delved decently deep into Drupal 6 and wrote some small modules to help with the site. Nothing fancy though. With so many photographers out of work and finding new jobs, I thought it might be a good idea to start in a new career as I could see my friends losing jobs and finding new careers.I've enjoyed Drupal and the Drupal community, so a Drupalling I would go. The beginner and intermediate sections for learning Drupal 7 with Forcontu have been interesting. I've never taken an online course like this, but I thought it would help learn the differences between Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 as well as get my feet back into Drupal developing. Much of Drupal 7 is the same or similar to Drupal 6. The advance section for the course, which is coming up, will be where I'm going to enjoy sinking my teeth into. The overall experience has been challenging at times in juggling outside work and life while continuing with course work. You set your own schedule and pace which helps with how fast you are learning or how much you may already know. The moderator/teacher has been wonderfully helpful and forgiving when late nights on my job lead to sleepy nights while going thru the course work. I have learned about modules and sections of Drupal 7 that I didn't have experience with nor knew about. It is an educational course, and I've enjoyed the work. I'm about to start on the next section, the advance section, and that should provide a whole new challenge and learning level. The knowledge I learn in this course should help me rebuild my current site and hopefully give me a basis to start a career as a junior Drupal developer. If you know of someone looking for some extra help on a site or a job opening, please let me know. |

manuelst4 | Drupal 10 | Expert in Drupal 10 Site Building
04 July, 2025 I have been working with Drupal since I finished my studies, and this course has been key to reinforce and structure everything I have learned self-taught over the years. It has also allowed me to discover new tools, functionalities and approaches that I did not know, and that have now become a valuable complement to apply in future projects. The methodology of the course, together with the book and the practical contents, is designed to facilitate learning in a clear, progressive and... [read more] |
![]() My experience in the Drupal 10 Back-End course
Bayest | Drupal 10 | Expert in Drupal 10 Back-End
03 July, 2025 I came to the course with previous knowledge of Drupal, although more focused on site building and with little real experience in the development of custom modules. What stands out the most about the course is its practical approach: it does not stay only in theory, but forces you to apply what you have learned through exercises and activities that simulate real development cases. At the beginning, some concepts are a bit dense (especially the part of entities and services), but thanks... [read more] |

02 July, 2025 The Drupal 10 Site-Building course has been very useful for me, despite having extensive previous experience in Drupal. It has allowed me to review in depth many areas of the backend that I use regularly and, above all, to refresh concepts and features that I do not use so often in my day to day. The syllabus is quite complete and covers from the most basic aspects to more advanced ones, facilitating a progressive and well-structured learning. Throughout the course numerous... [read more] |

02 July, 2025 Although I have been working with Drupal for many years, the course has helped me to review in depth many parts of the backend that I use on a daily basis, and also to refresh many other things that I don't use so much. It is very well laid out, with clear explanations and practical exercises that force you to apply what you learn in a realistic way. Even with experience, there are parts that make you think and review how you do things, which is appreciated. In addition, being... [read more] |

23 June, 2025 The Drupal 10 Site-Building course is quite complete, a great amount of functionalities are explained, and they are learned through quite interesting practical activities, it allows to learn perfectly the management of this version of Drupal, and the use of functionalities included in the core, as well as very interesting contributed modules. The learning is done from the basics, and at the end you have obtained the necessary knowledge to carry out a project in Drupal 10 with... [read more] |

AlexisMaciasVargas | Drupal 10 | Expert in Drupal 10 Front-End
20 June, 2025 The courses are quite complete and allow you to learn a lot, whether you start from scratch or if you already have some experience. Sometimes the bot can fail or fall short with some answers, but Fran responds very quickly and solves all the doubts, which is much appreciated during the development of the activities. What I liked the most was the final part, where we work with Vue, RESTful and JSON:API, since it combines what we learned with current Front-End development technologies.... [read more] |
![]() Back-End Course Opinion
Fafard | Drupal 10 | Expert in Drupal 10 Back-End
20 June, 2025 The course in general seems to me to be very well oriented for the learning of the neophyte professional in D8/9/10, as was my case. Coming from D7 the change has been radical and what I have noticed is that it is very ambitious: it takes time to assimilate all the concepts (which I insist are many). It is mandatory to review again the concepts given during the course when creating the final project. In general I think it is a great course to open doors to this technology going from the most... MahamaduSillahJawara | Drupal 10 | Expert in Drupal 10 Back-End
20 June, 2025 We have learned a lot but it has also been long. Drupal has been seen in a very valuable and useful depth. I was able to reinforce concepts that I thought I had already mastered and I also learned a lot of new ways of doing things that will come in handy. The truth is that the course is super complete and recommended whether you want to review as if you are a beginner with Drupal. The way it is structured also helps to get an idea of the complexity of the different exercises and... [read more] |

19 June, 2025 What has helped me the most is that the course is very well structured and each activity builds on the previous one, which makes learning much easier. The solutions are well explained and you can consult the material whenever you get stuck or have any doubts. In addition, Fran responds quickly and clearly when you need help, which is much appreciated, especially at times when something does not work as expected. Throughout the course I have learned to move with ease through the Drupal... [read more] |
![]() Course of considerable value

19 June, 2025 In this course you learn a lot of things, even if you already have previous experience in Drupal, as is my case. I have been working with this CMS for more than 8 years and, even so, I have realized that there were practices that I thought I was doing well... and it turns out that it was not so. In addition, I have discovered functionalities that I didn't even know existed. Drupal is extremely broad and versatile, so it's normal that there are areas that you have never touched or that you...
